June 26-July 1st. We'll be heading out Sunday at about 3PM and arriving at camp at about 6PM. We'll be coming back Friday at about noon and will return that day at about 3-4PM.
This year’s camp facility is located right next to Lake Greenwood in Waterloo, SC. It’s a beautiful 21 acre location owned and operated by the Laurens Baptist Association. We’ll have a large grassy field and a beautiful lake for games and recreation. During free time there are large play areas and a full basketball court. This year we’ll have a full kitchen as well as a dining room.
Here is a preview of the trip to Lake Greenwood
Camp this year cost $175. It's cheaper than most day camps and this one last all week night and day! We do that by keeping a tight budget and over the 6 years we've been planning camp we've learned how to cut unneeded costs and focus on the things that matter.
How many people can come to camp?
We can bring about 50 people with us. That includes staff and students. Basically the rule we go by is for every five students we bring one staff member. With that in mind we can bring 40 students and 10 staff members.
Will there be any fund raisers?
Yes. Every year we do several fund raisers. From selling Coca-Cola to selling Sunday after church lunches to families. Many students don't ever pay for camp out of their parent's pockets because they raise the money themselves.
Who will be speaking at chapel?
Pastor Trey will be teaching the morning sessions and Pastor Ivey will take care of the evening sessions.

Worship will be brought to us by the one and only Johnathan Elrod. Anyone who attended camp 2 years ago knows how great this guy is. Johnathan's Facebook.
Camp will be the highlight of a students summer. The week starts off with the students being split into teams. They participate in activities, games, and challenges to earn points. The team with the most points at the end of the week wins a major award. Games get messy! Competition is high! But all the games have a point. Every game requires team work and cooperation. It's always the team that gets along the best that wins.
Besides the games the students will participate in group Bible studies that relate to them directly. Twice a day we'll have chapel that includes fun and worshipful music. The students will also hear messages that can change their lives forever. The services are filled with multimedia and sound. Epic.
During Free time there is a lake to swim in and fields to play in. Students can bring fishing rods and even canoe around lake greenwood. Safety precautions are taken. Life jackets are required for canoeing and an adult is present at the lake at all times while students are swimming.
Students are allowed to pack one large and soft duffle bag and one carry on. Everything they need should be able to fit in those two bags. Students should always bring clothes they can get dirty. They’ll also need some casual but nicer clothes for evening chapels. Items that are allowed and not allowed will be included in the parent's packet.
