What should I expect at Oceanside on Sunday Morning?

When getting ready to come to church feel free to dress comfortably at Oceanside . You’ll see some people in jeans and t-shirts and some in ties. Most people dress in between those two. We have 2 services that start at 9AM and 11AM. 

When you enter our property at 1728 Rifle Range Rd. you'll see what looks to be a house, but be aware there's a church in there. All the parking is located behind the house. The entrance to the church will be in the back. There will be a deck leading up to a glass door entry way. Handicap parking will be closest to the rear entrance. 

           When entering the entrance door there will be a person there to greet you. That person will hand you a worship folder that will include announcements, a sermon outline, and information about our church. They will also hand you a prayer card (Use your prayer card to give requests to the pastor later in our worship service if you’d like). Our guest book is located at the front door, so feel free to sign it.

            Inside,  Oceanside has a warm family friendly vestibule. Adjacent and to the right of the vestibule are our pre-school and nursery rooms. The elementary class is up ahead in the hallway to the right. Our family service is at 9AM. At that service we will have care for children birth-11. The 11AM only has nursery care (birth-3). Inside our vestibule will be free breakfast horderves, fruit, juice, and coffee. To your left and down the hallway will be our worship center.

            Inside the worship center there is a stage area and seating. You’ll notice people from all walks of life, religion, and race. Our worship center holds about 40-50 people. Feel free to sit down and read the announcements on the screen or listen to the worship music playing lightly in the background.

            Oceanside enjoys family worship. Family worship is when children 4-11 stay through the music and prayer time, but leave to their classes for their own specially tailored lesson. Nursery is available for the whole service, but young children are allowed in worship if you would like that. We hope you’ll enjoy the singing and prayer with your family. Our services will start right at 9 and 11 AM. We start with an opening song or two, have a greeting time and then go into prayer where we pray for the different needs of people in our church. Our music style is contemporary Christian worship and includes groups such as Passion, David Crowder, Kutless, Hillsong and Gateway Worship.

            After the musical worship time, the children will be able to go to there classes and Pastor Trey will begin his message. Pastor Trey believes in passionate, relevant, and practical messages. His messages last about 30-45 minutes and include videos, demonstrations and many creative elements.

            At the end of the sermon, the pastor invites anyone who would like to make a further commitment to Christ to come to the front and pray. You will see some people taking advantage of this time as they kneel and pray. Others take the time to pray in their seats. Some will come forward and give their offering in the silver colored plates that are located at the front of the stage. We will also pass the offering plates for those who would like to voluntarily give to Oceanside Church.

Our services last from 9-10:30AM and 11-12:30PM

Once the worship service ends, you may stay around and talk. The pastors would love to talk with you if you have the time and want to ask any questions or just meet them.
